If you want to give your child a quintessentially British, modern education at the highest level, you simply cannot overlook Brighton College. This boarding school is renowned for its excellent examination results and numerous awards.
The top-tier school is beautifully situated in the historic seaside town of Brighton on England’s south coast. The college’s central courtyard is like something from a postcard – all the paths on campus lead there.
With only ten percent of pupils coming from abroad, Brighton College feels like a truly British private school. Pupils here enjoy an abundance of educational and extracurricular opportunities. As the highest-achieving school in Britain, Brighton is incredibly diverse. Musicians are welcomed by a new music school, and athletes can join the successful sports teams. For instance, the football teams rank among the top eight in the country.

Brighton College in Detail
Academic Excellence
The results here leave us amazed: in 2022, an incredible 91% of students achieved A-A grades at A-level*. It’s no wonder the Sunday Times recently named Brighton College the highest-performing co-educational school in the UK. The school has also been praised for its inclusive environment. Excellence is the norm across virtually all subjects, including mathematics, psychology, drama, computer science, and languages such as Russian, Latin, and Greek. Entrepreneurship is also part of the curriculum. Unsurprisingly, Brighton graduates go on to study at top universities such as Cambridge and Oxford.
Sport
Anyone who enjoys rugby, cricket, or hockey will find well-established teams here, competing successfully in national school competitions. We were impressed to learn that there are 18 girls’ hockey teams and 20 boys’ rugby teams. But sport is an essential part of life at this ambitious school and there is more beyond these as well – sailing and tennis are also very popular. In January 2020, the school opened a new School of Science and Sport, which houses world-class facilities for athletes of all disciplines. These include a dedicated strength and conditioning suite, a 25-metre swimming pool, a double-height sports hall with basketball court, an indoor running track, and a dance studio. Other sports offered include horse riding, fencing, and even beach volleyball.
Music and Performing Arts
Brighton offers students the most modern facilities for music – the new music school was recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects as one of the best-designed buildings in the country. At its heart is the Sarah Abraham Recital Hall, boasting superior acoustics and a Fazioli grand piano. There’s also a recording studio, percussion room, music library, and fifteen practice rooms, each with a piano. Instrumental lessons are offered for all orchestral instruments, as well as for voice, piano, harpsichord, organ, and guitar. Dance also attracts both experienced and beginner performers, with classes in jazz, ballet, tap, modern, and contemporary styles.
Extracurricular Activities
With more than 100 clubs and activities, there really is something here for every pupil. Children can join the Animal Welfare Club, African Film, Robotics, Medicine, Games Programming, or the Board Game Club – or even take on a secret role each week as hunter, seer, or witch in the Werewolf Club. There’s even a Harry Potter Club! And if someone can’t find quite what they’re looking for, they’re welcome to start a new club themselves. Budding scientists can pursue their curiosity in their free time too – every academic subject also has its own scholarly society meeting in the afternoons, which regularly hosts staff and guest speakers for university-level discussions.

Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
