Bromsgrove School in Detail
Creativity and Academics
Creativity flourishes at Bromsgrove through art, dance, and drama, all strongly supported. The art department is considered among the best in the country.
The school places great emphasis on teaching its pupils in a modern, forward-thinking environment. The campus features 18 science labs, a new humanities block, an art and design department, and a well-stocked library. Bromsgrove achieved an impressive 53% A*-A in A-levels in 2022, and its IB average score of 40 points soars above the global average of 32.
The colourful curriculum includes art and textiles, classical civilisation, politics, environmental systems, Latin, drama, and product design. Oxbridge preparation courses have paved the way for many Bromsgrove graduates to study at Oxford and Cambridge.
Sport
Bromsgrove takes great pride in its sporting excellence, with students regularly winning regional and national competitions in rugby, hockey, netball, swimming, cross-country, and more.
We were particularly struck by the modern sports arena, which houses eight badminton courts and seating for 500 spectators. Alongside this, there is a superb indoor swimming pool, tennis and netball courts, two sports halls with climbing walls, floodlit artificial pitches, and much more. The school also runs three sports academies. In its dedicated dance studios, pupils can learn contemporary, tap, jazz, and ballet. Just a five-minute drive away, there are facilities for outdoor pursuits such as sailing and kayaking.
Art and Drama
Few can rival Bromsgrove’s art department — not just in facilities but in the originality of student work and the inspiring pathways its alumni follow. Pupils can study film, 3D design, and photography. During our visit, we saw their workshop where students build their own kit cars — a vivid example of their creativity in action! Drama is another passion at Bromsgrove. The school’s theatre seats 300 and hosts an impressive calendar of plays and musicals, including Macbeth, My Fair Lady, and Cats.
Beyond the Classroom
Bromsgrove offers a huge range of extracurricular clubs — from Young Enterprise, Italian, aerobics, horse riding, a recording studio, and taekwondo to jewellery making. Its debating teams have even won national championships and represented the UK at the European Youth Parliament finals in Kyiv. Musically, students can sing in the Chapel Choir or Choral Society, which regularly perform in prestigious venues like St George’s Chapel and the cathedrals of Windsor, York, and Gloucester. Drama students can earn bronze, silver, or gold certificates from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).

Our Visit
At first glance, Bromsgrove School seems unassuming from the street. But aerial views reveal that it takes up almost half the centre of Bromsgrove — a large and thoroughly modern campus.
This became clear during our visit: the grounds are full of green spaces and state-of-the-art facilities. We were particularly impressed by the swimming pool, home to the swimming academy, and the beautifully renovated science labs. We especially value Bromsgrove for its structured daily life and the friendly, motivated teachers that we had the pleasure of meeting.

Every boarding school has its own character and ethos. Having personally visited more than 100 schools, we understand these nuances. We also work with schools that do not pay commission, ensuring that our advice remains independent and always in the best interest of your child.
Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
