Annabel’s impressive journey at Oswestry School – a shining example in academics, sport, and music!

We are incredibly proud of the many outstanding achievements Annabel made during her time at Oswestry School from 2022 to 2024. Warmest congratulations to her for being awarded the prestigious Form Prize for academic excellence, as well as Bronze awards in both the National Scientific Thinking Challenge and the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge.

At Speech Day, Annabel was also named Vitrix Ludorum – Champion of the Games – and recognised for her remarkable effort. We’re especially pleased to highlight that she was also named Tutee of the Term.

Annabel also threw herself into school life beyond the classroom. As part of the choir, she helped lead the group to first place at the Oswestry Youth Music Festival. And in sport, she was named Player of the Year in both U16 and U18 categories for tennis and athletics – an incredible accomplishment!

Eileen’s academic success and full embrace of British boarding life at Oswestry School!

We are delighted to celebrate Eileen’s outstanding progress at Oswestry School from 2022 to 2024. She received multiple academic awards in EAL (English as an Additional Language), and quickly established herself as a leader within the school community – a reflection of her responsibility and leadership skills.

Eileen was also the recipient of the Forte Award for excellence in German. A particularly special memory in her time at Oswestry was taking part in the Coronation of the British King – an unforgettable cultural moment that perfectly captured her interest and engagement with British life.

Ryan’s academic excellence and leadership at Stonyhurst College

We are proud to share Ryan’s impressive accomplishments at Stonyhurst College in 2024. Through his outstanding academic focus, he ranked among the top ten pupils in his year based on performance – an exceptional achievement.

But Ryan’s impact goes far beyond the classroom. As a member of the School Committee and President of the Hong Kong Society, he is recognised as a true leader, admired by his peers. His helpfulness and enthusiastic involvement in school activities have made him a valued and influential presence in the community.

He also takes full advantage of the school’s opportunities – playing rugby and continuing with his favourite sport, tennis. Ryan has built strong friendships and found a true home away from home in this inspiring and supportive environment.

Mino, a true sportsman at Earlscliffe – or, as his coach puts it, “The man, the LEGEND!”

Mino’s time at Earlscliffe has been nothing short of remarkable and serves as a source of inspiration to others. His basketball coach described him as “a once-in-a-lifetime player to coach in the academy.”

Mino embraced every opportunity for development and made extraordinary progress in a short period. Through his passion, determination, and hard work, he became a key player on the basketball team – his performance unforgettable. At Earlscliffe, they call him “the man, the legend.”

The school described him as the kind of student every teacher and coach hopes for – ambitious, committed, and always striving to do more. We are very proud of what Mino has achieved and are confident that his ambition will lead him to many more successes – on and off the court.

Sophie – a natural leader and supportive presence at Oswestry School, described as “a shining star” in the boarding community

Since joining Oswestry School in September 2024, Sophie has settled in beautifully and quickly become a well-respected member of the school community. Her punctuality, kindness, and respectful manner have earned her a sterling reputation.

Right from the start, it was clear Sophie had the natural qualities of a leader. She showed particular commitment and maturity in applying for the role of Little Sister. Actively involved in many aspects of boarding life, Sophie consistently brings positivity and support to those around her.

She was honoured with the Friendship is Magic award in the house commendations, recognising her care for others. Her valuable contribution to life at Oswestry makes her a much-loved and inspiring member of the community – a “shining star”, as the school put it.

Moritz – leading by example as a newly appointed School Prefect at Ellesmere College

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that Moritz, a student at Ellesmere College, has been appointed School Prefect for the coming academic year. This prestigious position is not only a reward for his academic dedication but also a testament to his engagement with the wider school community.

As a School Prefect, Moritz will play a key role in shaping daily life at Ellesmere. With his positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility, we are confident he will be a real asset to the school.

Riccardo takes on a leadership role at St Leonards School

We are incredibly proud that Riccardo has been elected Deputy Head Pupil in the Pupil Leadership Team at St Leonards School. This position of responsibility reflects his commitment and ability to lead with care and conviction.

Riccardo is widely recognised for his reliability and kindness, and for his ability to motivate and support his peers through challenging moments. The school praises his empathetic leadership style and sees him as a true role model.

Isabel at Dover College – success in and beyond the classroom

We are very proud of all that Isabel has achieved during her time at Dover College. Academically, she excelled in Business Studies, earning a distinction in Unit 4, and scored an impressive Grade A in her AS Spanish exam.

Beyond academics, Isabel was an enthusiastic participant in house events, often stepping out of her comfort zone to try something new. One standout moment was winning a medal on prizegiving day for representing her house.
The school describes Isabel as a reliable and dedicated pupil who approaches all tasks with positivity and drive.

Caspar leads by example as Senior Prefect at Wycliffe College

It is with great pride that we share Caspar’s achievements at Wycliffe College. His growth has been recognised with his appointment as Senior Prefect – a role that carries both prestige and responsibility, and one that Caspar fulfils with dedication and maturity.

The school speaks highly of Caspar, describing him as someone who truly embodies the Wycliffe values: respect, self-awareness, generosity, creativity, and independent thinking – both in learning and in life.
