Haileybury’s stellar reputation precedes it — and rightly so. With impressive academic results, the globally recognised IB Diploma, and a wealth of extracurricular opportunities, it draws students from far and wide.
In the Times league table, Haileybury proudly sits among the UK’s top ten independent IB schools.
So it comes as no surprise that Haileybury is one of the most illustrious names in education. Notably, it was a true pioneer, introducing the IB as early as 1998 — a bold move that set the trend for others to follow.
For us, Haileybury stands for excellence and fulfilment. Spread across 220 acres, the breathtaking neo-classical campus is simply unforgettable. The school is vibrant and full of energy, with more courses and activities on offer than one could possibly list. For enthusiastic students who love to try everything, it comes highly recommended. Unsurprisingly, the atmosphere on campus strikes us as cheerful and relaxed. In the twelve cosy boarding houses, students feel thoroughly at home.

Haileybury in detail
Academics
Haileybury’s academic results are impressive: 63% of students achieve A* or A grades at A-level, and the average IB score is an noteworthy 38 points. The school excels particularly in Mathematics, English, History and Drama. We love that 90% of the teaching staff live on campus themselves — many of them with doctorates — creating a close-knit, intellectual community. Students also collaborate on exceptional projects such as the Stan-X programme, partnering with Oxford and Stanford universities to research cures for diseases like pancreatic cancer and diabetes. Wow! Naturally, admission is selective, and the school looks closely at each applicant. But don’t worry — we know exactly what they’re looking for and are happy to guide you through the process.
Sport and Leisure
There’s always something going on here. Haileybury is especially renowned for its wide-ranging sports programme. Former professional athletes coach the rugby and netball teams. Beyond that, hockey, football, tennis, athletics and lacrosse are hugely popular among both boys and girls. It’s not uncommon to see the whole school turning out to cheer on their team — a real testament to the strong sense of community and love of sport here. The modern swimming pool and quality tennis club are equally impressive. Among the 130 or so activities on offer, you’ll even find a Chinese club, drumming classes, diving, and beekeeping.
Creative Arts
Creative students can shine in Art, Music, and Drama. Haileybury boasts a proud choral tradition, even winning the BBC Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year some years ago. In the spacious Art building, students are encouraged to experiment with ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography and design. There’s also dance on offer — from ballet to street dance, jazz, tap and more. Regular dance shows, concerts and excursions round off the creative experience.
Life on Campus
Haileybury’s majestic 220-acre estate, with its grand neoclassical buildings, is a sight to behold. Yet despite its size, the atmosphere remains warm and welcoming. Student wellbeing is taken seriously, with support always on hand, and even with busy schedules, the mood stays pleasantly relaxed. And let’s not forget the food — the high-quality meals served in the magnificent oak-panelled dining hall would impress even the most discerning chef.

Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
