Malvern is not only academically demanding but also offers a wealth of extracurricular opportunities, excelling equally in sport, the arts, and music. Almost any talent can be nurtured and allowed to flourish at Malvern College. The teachers are passionate about their vocation, combining the latest teaching methods, outstanding facilities, and the natural beauty of the surroundings. Sport
Whether golf, football, tennis, riding, or hockey, pupils at Malvern benefit from highly professional coaches, state-of-the-art analysis techniques, and of course, a wealth of playing fields. Whatever the level, whatever the passion, the College offers a comprehensive sports programme. Particularly talented athletes also receive personal coaching as well as strength and conditioning training. It is also impressive that Malvern maintains a long tradition in racquet sports such as badminton and squash — and even offers fencing.
Academics
Malvern pursues academic excellence but also celebrates lifelong curiosity and the ability to explore and discover more. That’s why the range of subjects on offer is particularly exciting: alongside Italian, Latin, and Business, students can even choose Greek, Environmental Systems, and Design Technology. The excellent results confirm the high quality of teaching: nearly half (47%) of the most recent IB cohort scored 40 points or more (out of a maximum of 45) — placing them among the top 9% of IB students worldwide. Over the past five years, the average IB score has consistently exceeded an impressive 37 points.
Art & Music
We are genuinely impressed by the breadth of opportunities at Malvern College! The arts and music are outstanding: many talented artists have emerged from the Malvern classrooms; including the author C.S. Lewis and the poet Lascelles Abercrombie. Pupils have access to all imaginable means of expression in the art and design studios, guided by sensitive and skilled teachers. The same is true of the music department: Malvern’s bands, orchestras, and choirs welcome performers across England. A 90-strong chapel choir, the college orchestra, chamber orchestra, concert band, jazz band, and percussion ensemble are all waiting to welcome new members.

Malvern College left us thoroughly impressed and amazed during our visit. Our heartfelt thanks go to Annalouise, the Head of Admissions, for the wonderful campus tour. Malvern really has everything one could wish for. Alongside the tangible atmosphere of academic excellence throughout the school, the community is framed by a stunning campus which includes a brand-new theatre, a brand-new swimming pool, and its own fitness studio.
