Prior Park College is a Christian-influenced, down-to-earth school in a breathtakingly beautiful setting, not far from London. In a close-knit community and with excellent learning support, your child can flourish academically and creatively.
The campus is surrounded by one of the most beautiful and historically significant English gardens — the 23-hectare Prior Park Landscape Garden, now owned by the National Trust. You would be hard pressed to find a more idyllic setting at any British boarding school. The view alone makes you forgive the narrow spiral staircases in the 17th-century main building! In our opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places to study.
While many boarding schools speak of a strong sense of community, this school is truly exceptional. The warm and close bonds here are genuinely impressive. Pupils are encouraged to take full advantage of everything on offer. They can try acting and singing in first-class productions — the theatre stages an astonishing number of performances compared to other boarding schools.

Prior Park College in Detail
Caring Support
The college is committed to supporting each individual, working with students, parents, and external specialists to ensure every child receives the best possible education. Through its learning development programme, students with specific needs work with teachers to develop strategies that help them learn independently and effectively. Special strategies are taught using games, puzzles, software, and assistive technologies. There is also support for speech and language development, social skills, and motor skills. Gifted students can take additional GCSEs such as Greek, advanced maths, or an extra foreign language.
Sport
Hockey is played at the highest level here, as is rugby, and a world-class riding instructor is on hand too. The multi-sport fitness centre is open to every student. Prior Park also runs a year-round tennis programme and partners with TeamBath Tennis Academy to train some of the UK’s top juniors. Elite athletes benefit enormously from the proximity to the University of Bath, where students can regularly use its world-class training facilities and coaching. A wide range of additional sports — including football, basketball, badminton, golf, and sailing — are offered as extracurricular activities and through “Saturday Active.”
Creative Arts
Alongside the traditional subjects, the school places a strong emphasis on creativity in all its forms. Pupils receive individual instrumental tuition, there are several choirs and orchestras, and the music department covers every genre. Ambitious musical productions are staged every year — most recently Little Shop of Horrors. Creative writing is also taught. The Mackintosh Dance Studio and Theatre puts on around 20 productions annually. Students can also get involved behind the scenes as technicians or crew. A spirit of continuous innovation runs through the school, as shown by its Information & Communication Technology Centre and its state-of-the-art Design Centre.
Academics
At Prior Park College, pupils can take both GCSEs and A-levels — with impressive results. In 2021, 68% of A-level grades were A*-A. The breadth of subject choice is remarkable: alongside the core subjects, options include Product Design, Travel & Tourism, Music Technology, Chinese, and Japanese. To foster academic ambition, the school runs an annual essay competition, organises trips to Italy, New York, and excursions to Oxford and Cambridge. Graduates typically secure a place at their first-choice university. In 2021, 41 students went on to Russell Group universities, two were accepted to medical schools, and others gained places at Oxford and Cambridge.

Every boarding school has its own character and ethos. Having personally visited more than 100 schools, we understand these nuances. We also work with schools that do not pay commission, ensuring that our advice remains independent and always in the best interest of your child.
Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
