Set in the countryside, Warminster School stands out for its strong sense of community. If you’re looking for a truly British atmosphere close to London, paired with an outstanding extracurricular programme, you’ll find it here.
With over 300 years of history, Warminster sits on a breathtaking 60-hectare campus in the heart of South-West England. The school offers both A-levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and is one of the few schools to also offer the IB Career-related Programme. This career-focused pathway combines academic study with practical work experience, preparing pupils for a fast-changing world where experience is more valued than ever.
This ethos is reflected in an impressive extracurricular offering of more than 70 clubs and activities. We were particularly impressed by the school’s facilities: expansive pitches for rugby, football, hockey and cricket; art studios and workshops with top-quality craft and design equipment; state-of-the-art science labs; a dedicated outdoor swimming pool, and much more.

Warminster School – Photo Highlights
Warminster School in Detail
Community
We believe it’s the cheerful atmosphere and supportive spirit that truly set Warminster apart. Here, pupils feel both nurtured and valued as individuals. The school places great importance on making sure every staff member and every parent feels part of the wider community. A highlight is the school’s mentoring programme, where older pupils support younger ones as guides and role models. And then there’s Professor Moriarty — an adorable pug–chihuahua mix and fully-fledged therapy dog who never fails to cheer the students up. Homesickness doesn’t stand a chance here!
Distinctive Values
Warminster prioritises the health of both body and mind. Pupils are encouraged not just to learn new knowledge but to navigate life itself. The brand-new Health Centre offers meditation spaces, mental health support, and a quiet room for relaxation away from the bustle of school life. We also love the school’s Life Skills programme, which genuinely prepares students for adulthood. Action days on topics such as healthy relationships, financial literacy, and mental health awareness are woven into the school calendar — enriching not just school years but life beyond them. Every pupil takes something meaningful away from their time here.
Academic
Warminster is forward-thinking and dynamic, without ever neglecting academic rigour. In fact, pupils here often achieve even better results thanks to the school’s holistic support and the teachers’ personal commitment. Both A-level and IB pathways are available, with a broad subject choice — even photography and Spanish can be found on the timetable! With an average IB score of 35 points — above the global average of 33 — and a 100% pass rate, Warminster’s teaching excellence and diligent students speak for themselves.
Sport and Leisure
Boredom? Not at Warminster. Qualified coaches and significant sports facilities invite students to get active. The school is renowned for its excellent hockey team, but creative pupils are equally well-served: there’s music tuition, theatre workshops, and even a student-run radio station. Unique outdoor experiences are a hallmark of Warminster too: the Combined Cadet Force, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and the challenging Ten Tors event welcome eager participants each year. These programmes develop crucial personal skills, including self-motivation, organisation, and teamwork.

Feedback from Placed Pupils

Charlotta and her parents
„After a thorough and very pleasant conversation with Mr Cyrankowski, we decided to help our daughter fulfil her dream of spending time at a top English boarding school. Thanks to his excellent contacts, we were able to visit several schools over the autumn holidays and were warmly welcomed — we heard the highest praise for working with Akademis! We’ve now found a very good school and even received further help beyond the placement itself, such as a recommendation for UK Guardians. This agency really knows the market! Thanks to the whole team!!“
Words from the Headmaster

Matt Williams
Headmaster of Warminster School
„An excellent working relationship with our partner agencies is invaluable. A deep understanding of our school and our community is essential for offering open and honest advice to families. We are confident that Akademis truly understands the families they work with and appreciates how important the right school choice is for each individual pupil. We are incredibly pleased with the candidates Akademis sends us, and it’s wonderful to see them thriving here and becoming valued members of our community. Regular visits from Martin and his team ensure they stay up-to-date with developments at our school.“

Every boarding school has its own character and ethos. Having personally visited more than 100 schools, we understand these nuances. We also work with schools that do not pay commission, ensuring that our advice remains independent and always in the best interest of your child.
Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
