With its dedicated CReSTeD-accredited special needs provision, Wycliffe combines progressive teaching methods with tailored support for every child. Add to that excellence in rowing, squash and netball, and this large, forward-thinking school really helps its pupils shine.
You can feel the gentleness of the beautiful Cotswold hills reflected in the atmosphere at Wycliffe College. Here, individual development is paramount: children with learning difficulties are given expert help, while gifted pupils are equally challenged and nurtured. Rather than reducing students to their exam results, Wycliffe uses a value-addedapproach to measure their personal progress. Excellent pastoral care further contributes to the warm and supportive environment.
At its heart, Wycliffe has a pioneering spirit that drives transformation and progress — and that energy can also be felt in its sports. The school hosts the Nova Academy, where the netball stars of the future are trained. Pupils also compete successfully at national level in squash and rowing.

Wycliffe College in Detail
Academic focus
Wycliffe values fair, and ensures individual assessment. Using the value-added method, it places less emphasis on grades and more on each pupil’s unique journey, with support tailored accordingly. Students with learning difficulties benefit from highly regarded specialist support, accredited for over twelve years by CReSTeD (Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils). Gifted children are also well-served through the Gifted and Talentedprogramme. International students can join a one-year GCSE course, which builds on their existing knowledge and prepares them for A-Levels. The impressive range of subjects on offer includes Computer Science, Japanese and Business.
The Arts
Drama thrives both in the curriculum and in the pupils’ free time. Every January, the entire school comes together for a theatre production, while the boarding houses compete in drama and music contests throughout the year. Regular masterclasses and workshops are led by top professional musicians and theatre specialists. Trips to national theatres feature regularly too. Over 120 individual music lessons take place each week, with students participating in chapel choir, orchestra and various ensembles, such as a guitar group. Their talents are showcased in a variety of concerts — from intimate teatime recitals to grand whole-school performances.
Sport
In 2024, Wycliffe ranked in the ‘top 100 list’ for sports in the School Sport Magazine league table. Rowing is particularly strong, with pupils regularly winning local and national competitions — including silver medals for two girls’ teams at the prestigious Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup. The Wycliffe Advanced Sports Programme supports elite athletes with screening, strength and conditioning, sports nutrition and psychological coaching. The school also hosts the Nova Academy for U17 netball players, helping them train for a professional career. Meanwhile, new basketball coach Tony Wilburn — a former professional player in several US leagues — is developing a basketball programme.
Co-curricular life
Wycliffe offers more than 60 weekly clubs and activities, from chess, origami and beekeeping to gardening and even green car racing. Artistic pursuits also flourish, with pottery, photography and more. Pupils produce the school magazine themselves, and of course there are plenty of sporting options — alongside horse riding, fencing, yoga, Zumba and even Quidditch! Through Combined Cadet Force and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, students strengthen their team spirit, sense of responsibility and connection with the natural beauty of the Cotswolds.

Every boarding school has its own character and ethos. Having personally visited more than 100 schools, we understand these nuances. We also work with schools that do not pay commission, ensuring that our advice remains independent and always in the best interest of your child.
Our roots lie in the UK. For years, we have placed 200–300 families annually into British boarding schools. While our portfolio now includes schools beyond Britain, the UK remains at the heart of what we do.
Our tailored approach results in exceptional acceptance rates. For example, in 2022/23, all seven students we placed at the highly selective Malvern College received offers – a 100% success rate.
We arrange for prospective families to speak with our current students to hear first-hand accounts of life at a UK boarding school.
